Life at The Mead during June
We have been fortunate to hear the cuckoo more this spring than we have for the last few years, just hope he finds a mate!
I spoke too soon about the siskins, this year a pair have decided to stay and have reared a brood so we can no longer use them as our cool weather guides.
The baby swallows have hatched out so there are many comings and goings by the parents. The plastic swallow guard above Marg and Emma's heads has come into its own (who chose a spot directly underneath the nest to take cuttings)?!
We are into the plant stall season so most weekends we are attending some plant fayre or other. Don't forget to look on our Events page if you would like to see where we will be. There will of course be someone at the nursery too, to help you should you prefer visiting the tranquillity of the Mead!
Flowers that are excelling at the moment

Everything looks so fresh now, wonderful vivid greens and lots of colour. Why not pay us a visit and enjoy wandering in the garden!
