The Mead team
We all work together as a happy team - having a sense of humour helps with Milly at the helm! We are all keen gardeners and willing to help with gardening queries. Below are brief introductions to each of the members of staff who keep this show on the road.
Emma and Steve started the nursery in 1993, having had previous experience of running nurseries. When they first saw the field where the nursery now stands, it was pouring with rain but they knew it felt right. They have not looked back since!
Marg has been with the nursery almost from the beginning. She does nearly all the potting and with her special feel for plants, the tiny seedlings and just-rooted cuttings get the best possible start in life.
Cathy has been with the nursery for over ten years. In that time, she has transformed the nursery display beds into a garden it is a pleasure to wander around. She and Lesley now work together, helping customers and keeping the saleable plants looking their best.
Lesley started working at the nursery in 2010 having been a loyal customer from the early days. She works mostly with the salable plants but really comes into her own helping customers.
The hearty and soul of the team, Milly has been with the business through thick and thin and usually gets through anything however thin.
